Find Your Parts
Dexter Index gives you two ways to locate the parts you need.
Search
Best when you know the part number. Type it in the search bar for the fastest result.
Browse
Best when you're not sure of the exact part. Navigate product categories to find what you need.
💡 Pro Tips
- Need to order multiple parts at once and already know the SKUs? Use Order Pad to enter up to 50 part numbers in bulk and add them all to your cart in one click.
- Some specialty or custom products can't be found by browsing categories. If you have the complete SKU, enter it directly in the search bar to find it instantly.
- Need a made-to-order axle? Use the Axle Configurator to spec and order a custom axle built to your exact requirements.
- Prefer to browse offline? Order a printed product catalog to reference part numbers and specifications at your counter or workbench.

Check Availability & Pricing
Before adding to your cart, confirm pricing and stock availability for each part.
What to look for on each part page
- Item details — Review fit, function, and specifications to confirm this is the right part for your customer or job before adding to cart.
- Stock status — Shows availability at your fulfillment branch.
- Price — Your account pricing is shown once you're logged in.
💡 Pro Tips
- Stock levels update every 2 hours — always check availability close to when you plan to order, as what was in stock earlier may have changed.
- Your negotiated pricing is shown automatically once you're logged in — the price you see online is the same price you'd get by calling us. Need volume pricing? Contact us and we'll work with you.
- Order the same parts regularly? Build a Saved Cart with your most common items so you can reorder with just a few clicks — no searching required.

Add to Cart
Add your parts and build your order — but read the tips below first to avoid common mistakes.
🛒 Building Your Cart
Once you've found the right items, add them to your cart. You can continue shopping and adjust quantities as needed.
- Double-check quantities before moving to checkout.
- Each order can only be fulfilled from a single branch — you cannot mix parts from multiple branches in one cart.
💡 Pro Tips
- Save frequently ordered items as a Saved Cart for faster reordering in the future.
- To change your fulfillment branch, add a product from the desired branch to your cart. This will update the fulfillment location for your entire cart, so review all items carefully when switching locations.

Make sure you're adding items from the correct branch before proceeding to checkout. If you need a different branch, add a part from that location first — this updates the fulfillment branch for your entire cart.

Review your cart details carefully and submit your order with confidence.
📋 Before You Submit
- Review all part numbers and quantities — changes cannot be made after submission.
- Confirm your delivery address and branch fulfillment location are correct.
- Select your preferred shipping method and delivery date. Choose the option that best fits your needs:
- Will Call (Free) — Pick up your order at the branch. Dexter will call when it's ready.
- Dexter Truck — Delivery via Dexter's truck on an established route. Only available from your home branch if a truck route is scheduled for your location. Select the date your truck delivers.
- Standard LTL — Freight carrier delivery. Shipping costs are estimates and may vary at invoicing. Select your preferred delivery date.
- SpeeDee Ground — Regional ground carrier. Only available within specific SpeeDee service areas. Shipping costs are estimates. Select your preferred delivery date.
- FedEx Ground — Standard ground shipping via FedEx. Shipping costs are estimates and may vary at invoicing. Select your preferred delivery date.
- FedEx 2 Day — Expedited shipping for urgent needs. Shipping costs are estimates and may vary at invoicing. Select the date you need to receive your order.
- Customer Private Carrier Account — Use your own carrier account. Enter your carrier name and account number when prompted.
- Use Order History later to reference or quickly reorder past purchases.
💡 Pro Tips
- Submit orders frequently to guarantee inventory is reserved for you. Available items will be bundled into a single shipment based on your selected delivery method.
- Made a mistake? Don't worry — Call us and we can modify the order.
All accounts are invoiced
Orders are billed to your account on invoice terms. If your account does not have established terms, the branch will contact you for payment before your order ships.
Confirm your delivery address, fulfillment branch, and delivery method before submitting.
